My impression is based on one visit during a relatively slow period of the afternoon. The host, I assumed was the owner or manager, was very personable and provided all customer service. Service was excellent in the sense that he was pleasant, mildly humorous and seemed to know when to check back with me. The food was very good, but did not quite match my favorite local Chile Verde burrito. [read more]

Homestyle American eats are served in a retro atmosphere at this long-standing, old-school The roast beef is superb, the portions are NOT skimpy, the wait staff is friendly and responsive without smothering the customers, and the overall environment is inviting. It's tucked away from the jarring noise of the outside world and close enough to everywhere to be convenient to reach from most areas of the city. I had thought at first that the costs were a tad more expensive than what justifies in a cafe, and then I got my plate and I realized that the size of the meal more than makes up for the costs.
