John’s experience as an Agricultural Inspector for the state and horticultural degree from UC Berkeley allowed him to successfully supply plants to the Bakersfield area, but more importantly supply a wealth of knowledge to his customers. John and Janice established a tradition of offering a wide selection of plants along with a great deal of knowledge to make his customers successful a tradition that has been carried on by John’s son Jere White and daughter-in-law Rita White still to this day.
